The most excited thing I am doing is using the Sweet Spot Base Mid Volume 1 training plan from TrainerRoad. This option is found under the main settings screen in Zwift: Now that both ANT+ USB sticks are plugged in and working, start Zwift first and pair your devices.

You also need to run Zwift in Windowed mode, not full screen mode. (but my Coeur Kona bikini is pretty awesome) Open device manager and check you have two devices shown under libusb-win32 devices. Lesson learned, I need to take a recovery week while building up my running volume. So, I backed off for a couple weeks and then went back at it. I had a tough week in early October where I was convinced that I may be developing another calf tear. My plan for the next couple months is to use the training plans available in TrainerRoad to work on my cycling, run as much as I comfortably can, and swim around 10K a week. I just needed to give myself a break when there was no upcoming race. She has done so much for me and I believe in her training. As soon as I start training for my marathon in May I will start back up with Jen. Therefore I made the tough decision to take a break from being coached and manage my training myself and with the tools I have available.

I like to take training seriously, but I'm not an actual racer so I'm not one to squeeze in sessions when I don't feel like it.I have no real races on my calendar until May.

For more check out: How to Plan a Year of Training and Racing. Calendar lets you focus on what matters and modify your schedule when life happens. But you can keep your training on track with a powerful, easy-to-use training calendar. The calendar makes no sense for someone like me. Planning an entire season’s worth of training and events can be difficult. Running Zwift and TrainerRoad Together By Greg Hilton Decem58 Many cyclists like myself love TrainerRoad for its plan builder, calendar, and massive library of progressive plans.

So I don't want the Calendar to skip the workout for me, I want it to just keep pushing it back until I do it. A six week plan will turn into 8 or 9 for me. I want to complete all workouts (at my own time). I don't want to skip the next work out in line. The Calendar now skipped an entire week of workouts. I completed week 1 and then did no indoor cycling for about 8 days (or more). The weather's been phenomenal so I've kept riding outdoors, I went abroad for a cycling trip and sometimes I don't feel like doing a ride. I'm 'enrolled' in Sweet Spot Base 1 mid volume. Have you ever thought about adding a racing element like Zwift or the others to incorporate into the TrainerRoad system? Basically, TrainerRoad users can race against each other in the same type of Zwift like enviroment, in addition to the normal type of structured workouts that you currently have?Įither I hate the Calendar, or I don't know how to work with it. That being said, every now and then I'll jump onto Zwift for a race as I'm training on TrainerRoad and it's awesome to see the PRs and race results improve from the workouts that I'm doing with you guys. The general consesus is basically, TrainerRoad if you want to be fast, the others for fun/social activities like group rides and races which I've found to be true. In the meantime I've just been messing around on Zwift, Fulgas, Road Grand Tours and doing some running, active recovery if you will. After this race season ended I've taken a bit of a break from structured training and plan to start back up with TrainerRoad in November for next years prep. We'll still monitor the reddit subreddit but our goal is to get the conversation over to our forum since there's already a lot of activity and people's questions get answered pretty quickly. We think it's WAY better than facebook and it's got over 30k page views in about 12 hours on it. You can view a list of upcoming features about it here: You can plan out your training, see your training stress, edit your days, add run/swim/other workouts and put annotations in. I wanted to let you know that we launched a new calendar feature for TrainerRoad today.
